About

AIT Profiles is the first independent publication dedicated to real-life stories about how organizations use information technology to solve business challenges.

The name AIT Profiles is an abbreviation for Apropos Information Technology ProfilesApropos means timely and relevant, and this is our guiding principle for all stories in this publication. It is also the name of the company that owns this publication, Apropos LLC, based in Boise, Idaho. Information technology or IT refers to computer systems that solve practical problems, such as boosting productivity, cutting costs, delivering new products, speeding operations and generally creating a more competitive and valuable organization. Profiles are real-life stories about how organizations have used IT for their benefit.

Put it all together and you have AIT Profiles! Our goal for this publication is to inform and inspire organizations to use IT effectively in furthering their missions and attaining their goals. Do You Have a Story Idea?

If you have an idea for a story, such as an instance where a business has derived value from an IT solution, we would very much like to hear from you. Your idea could become the subject of a story published on AIT Profiles!

The Story-Writing Process

All of our articles are IT success stories. A published story provides good press coverage for your company and can be a resume builder for the person interviewed.

If your company is willing to participate in a story, we will arrange a phone interview that takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Then AIT Profiles will write a draft and send it to you for review and feedback. We always give the profiled company an opportunity to review a draft to make sure the content is accurate. After the story is in final form, it will be published on our website.

Marketing Services

Our independently-published success stories are excellent sales tools that help people envision how to solve practical problems with technology. They help technology buyers make the transition from thinking, “That’s an interesting technology,” to saying, “Oh, I see how that can help me with my business!” In fact, buyers rate case studies as more influential than product brochures or data sheets.

If you would like to use an AIT Profiles articles to promote your product or industry, we offer licenses to host, print, link to and distribute stories. Please do not link to one of our articles without such a license.
